Hey there comedy fans, this is Joey B. with Sun City Comedy. We are getting ready for our show with national touring performer Curt Fletcher, at O’Hagan’s Irish Pub, an Irish style bar located in the Cincinnati St. entertainment district. And while Curt is a very funny guy, not a lot of people in the Sun City have heard about him so I decided for a very special edition of Laughter Profile I would interview our headliner via phone and email.

Before I call Curt we exchange emails and just so I can be prepared for the interview I ask him for a small bio, this is what I got:

Curt Fletcher began his professional stand up career in 2003 after winning the Great Southwest Laff Off.  He realized he could deliver punch lines faster than pizza.  He has been doing stand up all across the country since.  In 2007 he was part of HBO's Las Vegas Comedy Festival.  He also appeared as a Nazi soldier in "Inglorious Basterds" but now has a wicked case of "Hitler Elbow."  His material is subtle with razor edge punch lines!

After a half a year break we decided to bring back the Laughter Profile section back, and since there is never a shortage on performers that want a shot at an article written exclusively about them this seemed like an easy thing to keep doing.

So the bosses upstairs wanted a new performer, someone that is sure to be the next big thing in comedy, but since those things are hard to come by in El Paso they had to settle for up and coming amateur comedian Sonny G.

Sonny is a new face in the comedy scene, his claim to fame so far was winning an open mic contest it doesn’t sound impressive until you learn that it was his first time on stage. And while it was his first time on stage it wasn’t his first time trying to make people laugh.

I met Sonny at an undisclosed location on the East side of El Paso for the regular interview and photo shoot…

Sun City Comedy: Let’s start easy, how do you like the comedy scene?
Sonny G: It’s Amazing… I find comedy very enjoyable makes me feel good inside, just a bunch of guys a lot of male bonding, you know guys doing what they do when they are alone, that kind of stuff. I don’t even like music…
